They converted many civilian ships into military grade ones, and began mass producing combat droids, since droids were more convenient as the Outer Rim had a relatively low population, but a high amount of natural resources.īy 73 ABY, numerous small groups which the Galactic Alliance deemed 'terrorists', had already carried about attacks against the Galactic Federation of Free Worlds. The Galactic Federation of Free Worlds did not take this movement seriously enough, and this resulted in arms dealers and other groups in the Outer Rim beginning to build a military. The Outer Rim then suffered an economic crisis that lead to a Separatist movement. Around 70 ABY, many citizens of the Outer Rim began to distrust the Galactic Alliance after the Voracisroun pandemic spread throughout the galaxy, impacting the Outer Rim the most.
